online digital art residencies

“Creative work is essential to the spiritual well-being of any civilization
– The New Yorker

The Artacia online art residency program is designed to be progressive, inspirational and unconventional. It provides a unique way to fuse art and innovation while allowing artists to engage with professionals at the forefront of technology.  Partnering companies get the opportunity to improve creativity flow, build their brand and stay relevant in today’s digital age.

We believe Artacia’s collaborative initiative will lead to the development of many creative ideas and innovations. We aim for this program to be an enriching experience, for the organizations, the artists, and all the supporting institutions.

During a residency, artists can explore new locations, different cultures, and experiment with different materials. Much like study abroad programs, residencies are often aimed at young artists and can end up having a long-term impact on their life and work.”

DBS Bank

Artacia organised this residency with DBS with the aim of exploring the intersection between art and innovation. DBS hosted an artist for a 8-week period at DAX, a space that reimagines, inspires and creates the future of innovation. The artists was invited to create a digital artwork that incorporates the core DBS values and innovation agenda.

These values include providing amazing solutions and experiences that “wow”, a constantly experimenting culture, embracing outside-in thinking to create breakthroughs, and leveraging unique Asian insights. The artwork would ultimately inspire and promote the culture of innovation.
